Hat Creek is still doing pretty good. I had a couple of folks down below the 299 bridge down to the barrier the other day. We picked up some nice fish throwing a cinnamon caddis with an October caddis pupa under it. With the cooler temperatures coming on, the time of day to fish is going to change daily. Hat Creek Fishing Report: August 20
Hat Creek is still doing pretty good despite the heat. It seems the best time to fish it is early morning until about 11am.Look up if you are seeing tricos still flying around above your head the best part is yet to come. Once the spinner trico spinner fall starts it can lead to some good dry fly fishing.
