The weekend of August 10th & 11th the flows were raised to 1500 cfs for white water recreation. After the flows were brought back down the fishing was a little sketchy. But things are back to normal now and the fishing is good.
This river at this time of year can follow the pleasant time of day theory. If its pleasant for you to be on the water then its pleasant for the fish to be active. If you find you are hooking a lot of squaw fishing and sucker fish, you are more than likely in to slow of water. Stick to the faster water and pocket water.
