Hat Creek
Hat Creek is an ideal river to learn the basics of wading and casting. With diverse insect hatches occurring on Hat Creek through mid July, it’s hard to find a better stream where an introduction to insect hatches can be experienced not just taught in a classroom. Literally experience the process of adapting fishing technique to the prevailing conditions. The knowledge you gain is applicable to just about every fly fishing venue on the planet.
Fall River
Sometimes, Hat Creek isn’t the best venue based on your past experience or what Hat Creek is offering as a tool in educating anglers. Fortunately Art has access to the fabled waters of Fall River where casting, insect selection and very productive fly fishing can be experienced.

Don’t be shy if you are just starting out. Casting a fly rod isn’t easy and it takes time to perfect the craft. A day or two with Art will allow you the room to grow and build skills that allow you to enjoy fly fishing on an elevated level.
Art is providing a leanring experience where students, guests are being guided in the pursuit of catch/release fly fishing. Anglers learn how to properly manage fish, releasing them back into the river unharmed.
