I like to fish the upper sac early and late in the day this time of year. As the sun gets over head on this river the fish get to be a little finicky.
Deeper and shady areas seem to be the trick until the sun gets off the water. This is a great river for dry fly dropper technique. This time of year, if the fish are not grabbing in the run you are fishing, don’t take it personal just move on.
